#64 rolling ball sculpture
a.k.a.: marble run, ball run, marble roller coaster

This sculpture is now in: Milford, Ohio @ "Coolest Toys on Earth"

This is a very large wall hanging sculpture. It is 6' across, 5' high and 20" deep.
Everything is stainless steel, all neatly TIG welded. The motor is a 5 RPM geared AC motor that I got at Mcmaster Carr. There are 5 tracks total each one having it's own very unique path. There are marbles going up three sides of the lift. Two columns of those marbles are split in two, and the other is not. The column that is not split is the one that feeds the marble collector on the far upper left.

There were several new things I built onto this sculpture. Such as the talking head all in a row, the gravity lift that picks up the 2" marble and that the lift - lifted so many marbles.

There are 150 1 3/8" marbles on this sculpture when it is loaded full. The track merger, where all of the different paths converge, at the bottom of the helical lift, makes sure all of the columns are fully supplied with marbles.
