Since these large sculptures are hand powered, specifically by kids, I knew that some of those kids would want to turn the handle to the helical lift as fast as they could. Keeping that in mind, these arms are very fast, and don't take long at all to tip, drop the marble and return, ready for the next one.

The marble goes to the right, into the green arm that drop it to the track with the pink guardrails. The marble keeps going, turns left and into the next arm, which is orange, gets dropped again and then quickly rolls around the next corner across the track right in front of you.

All stainless steel, with quality TIG welds. Most of the track is made from 1/4" stainless steel rod, which is why you mostly see straight pieces. The wire in the lift, for instance is 1/8". The 1/4" is much, much bigger, and much, much harder to bend. I used a planetary ring roller from Harbor Freight. : )
