If you look closely you can track the path of the loop d' loop behind the spiral. This marble loops up and around before entering 4 arms in a row. Three of these arms are the ones that actuate the "coolest toys on earth" by cable.

The spiral in the front get 5 marbles shooting through it, sometimes all together, but most of the time spread out and come in by ones and two. I bend the spiral wire by hand, starting with the bottom, and working my way up. After it is all bend, I weld on the spacers so the wire is secure and solid. The more solid the track is, the faster the marble rolls! There's always something going on in this wonderful kinematic sculpture.
