Explore more than two decades of original rolling ball sculptures handmade by Matthew Gaulden. Each kinetic sculpture is designed and TIG welded in stainless steel, from small tabletop and wall-mounted pieces to large freestanding and monumental installations. My rolling ball sculptures combine gravity, motion and mechanical elements including ball lifts, spirals, loops, track switches and other mechanisms. Every sculpture is individually built by hand in my California workshop, and no two are alike.
