This motorized desktop Rolling Ball Sculpture has a little bit of everything. A chain lift continuously carries the marbles back to the top, keeping the sculpture running automatically. From there, the balls are sent onto three different tracks.

Track one is the loop d’ loop, and track two sends the ball down a tall skinny coil. Track three takes the longer route and has most of the other action. The ball-collecting tipping arm is adjustable, so it can release every marble individually or collect up to three and send them down the track together.

There’s plenty more packed into the long track, including sharp corners, dips and curves, along with a couple of 3D-printed gravity wells. Lots of different movement in a relatively small desktop sculpture.
