This tall desktop Rolling Ball Sculpture has a lot going on. First, it’s semi-automatic. Fill the queue at the top with marbles, release one to get it started, and it will keep running until the queue is empty. Each ball reaching the bottom presses a lever that releases the next ball waiting at the top. No motor or electricity needed.

This is also one of my rarer RBS builds because there isn’t a loop d’ loop anywhere on it. I put them on nearly everything, but somehow this one escaped without one.

Instead, there are two tall coil sections connected by a short section of track, horizontal zig-zags, a vertical zig-zag, a flat spiral and a ball-collecting tipping arm. At the top is a flat plate where the balls roll freely before randomly finding their way onto one of two tracks. That bit of randomness means you never quite know which route the next ball will take.

There’s a surprising amount of action packed into this one. You may have to watch it a couple of times just to follow everything that's happening.
