My old friend, Bill, made me some custom tools that I use on a regular basis. These aluminum plates help me make repeatable welds on 1/4″ round rods in several different angles.
I don’t use the odd angles very often, but I do use the right angle, or 90-degree, angle fairly often. When I need to have the metal welded at 90 degrees this simple plate works exactly as needed to keep the steel rods in place and secure for the welding process.
These tools were made for me in Feb-2009 and Mar-2009.
Occasionally, I have needed them for making different wall supports and having these angles to use for a perfect, repeatable, angle makes my job very easy.
